• PICO -- "a powerful new search engine. It comes through the NIH, and it searches for EBP type articles. You do not have to fill out every blank, but the more you can fill in, the more narrow your search. The initials stand for: Problem, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome."

• Statistics of Sequence Similarity Scores -- "Basic Local Alignment Search Tool (BLAST) finds regions of local similarity between sequences. The program compares nucleotide or protein sequences to sequence databases and calculates the statistical significance of matches. BLAST can be used to infer functional and evolutionary relationships between sequences as well as help identify members of gene families."
