• Committee for the National Institute for the Environment: Includes an encyclopedia of the environment, and online access to more than 140 Congressional Research Service reports on environmental issues.
• World Conservation Monitoring Centre--links to databases on forest preservation, endangered species, protected areas, marine resources, biodiversity, etc.

• North American Amphibian Monitoring Program--a central depository for information and research on declining amphibian populations.
• ReefBase:an online information system on coral reefs -- provide relevant data and information to reef managers and scientists, as well as the general public. By country or territory.
• Upper Midwest Environmental Sciences Center--A regional USGS site which provides free access to a variety of data sets for the Mississippi River.
