Fun Stuff For Kids

  • Art Safari---from the Museum of Modern Art, really fun interactive adventures. Look for link on left menu bar once on the MOMA site.
  • Berit's Best Sites for Children
  • Build a Prairie---Can you turn a barren plain into a healthy prairie? Choose the best plants and animals to bring to your prairie restoration site. Then watch the prairie come to life in exciting animations!
  • CBC4KIDS ---lots of nice games from the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. 
  • Dav Pilkey's Web Site o' Fun--Pilkey is the author/illustrator of children's books like The Paperboy (a Caldecott winner), Captain Underpants, and When Cats Dream. Here he shares jokes, riddles, stories from his books, and the story of how he went from attention deficit disorder to class clown to "kid in the hallway" to artist and author.
  • Disabled Teen Resources-- University of Washington's "Do-It" program to help disabled teens develop their math and science talents; links for adaptive technology and other aids for the disabled.
  • Internet Public Library -- Lots of fun stuff from games to homework help and sports to music.
  • Kid Info--something for everyone here--advice for parents, games and stories for pre-schoolers, topical materials for school, and lots more.
  • Kids Click--another searchable subject index from the UC Berkeley Digital Library SunSITE, with 1800 choice sites whose annotations include reading level as well as content.
  • Kids Corner--a nice selection of games, music, homework helpers and news for kids.
  • Kids Games -- the outdoor, run around, neighborhood kind, like 'Capture the Flag' and 'Red Light Green Light'
  • Kids Hub -- lots of fun games with a learning edge. Requires Flash 5 Player Plug-in (download free on the site).
  • Kid's Page -- homework help, and lots more!
  • Kids Report--from the producers of The Scout Report, a version for kids and by kids.
  • OH!Kids--part of the Ohio Public Library Information Network.
  • OWL Kids Online-- for kids who like jokes and games and answers to questions like why is soap slippery?
  • Scholastic News -- "America's Leading News Source for Kids." In addition to articles for kids from several Scholastic magazines, this includes quizzes and polls for kids.
