  • George Perkins Marsh -- information on the noted naturalist who wrote the seminal book "Man and Nature" (1864).
  • Center for Sustainable Systems for Higher Education -- a resource for campuses wishing to be part of the solution rather than part of the problem.
  • Noise Pollution Clearinghouse -- includes research on the health and learning effects of noise, and federal and state laws governing it.

  • Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education -- "national project database features several different kinds of project reports.   • Sustainable Development/Economics--a set of bibliographies compiled by Professor Tom Tietenberg, on issues such as watershed and wetlands management, transportation, agriculture and dry land management, economic incentives programs, etc., with sustainable development case studies from a number of countries.

  • Wildland Invasive Species Program -- information about invasive plants in the U.S. From University of California, Davis. It was de-funded in Feb. 2009, but maintains some archival data.
  • World Watch Institute -- "offers a unique blend of interdisciplinary research, global focus, and accessible writing that has made it a leading source of information on the interactions among key environmental, social, and economic trends. Our work revolves around the transition to an environmentally sustainable and socially just society—and how to achieve it. "
  • World's Water -- provides information and data on global freshwater problems and solutions.  Includes a Water Conflict Chronology.
  • Zero Waste America--a site devoted to reducing waste from the entire product life cycle, from manufacturing through consumer use. Files on laws and regulation, as well as proposed model legislation, consumer and health information.
