• American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC)  and The Center for Policy Alternatives  With more and more public policy-making moving from the federal to the state level, these organizations from the right and left of the political spectrum are primary agents proposing policies and model legislation. You might find it helpful to explore their proposals before the next election.
