Acquisitions Department Eliza Gillies, Acquisitions
Assistant Located in the Technical Services area of the library, it is the mission of the Acquisitions Department to assist Department Chairpersons and faculty in ordering books and videos to be added to the Library's collection. Each academic department is allocated money from the Library Book Budget. Department chairpersons are provided with monthly budget updates and CHOICE selection cards. There are several ways in which to submit book orders to the Acquisitions Department:
All orders, regardless of how they are submitted, must be approved by the Department Chairperson or designee. There are two deadlines for submitting book orders. The first deadline is usually set for the final day of the semester, on or about December 15. The second semester deadline is usually midway into the Spring semester. Department Chairpersons are notified of the deadline dates. A printable video order form is available by clicking here. Username and password information are distributed to Department Chairpersons at the beginning of each academic year.
