Because it is difficult for a library to satisfy the research needs of every patron, the SAU Library offers Interlibrary Loan (ILL) services to borrow materials it does not own.  Because these materials come from a variety of other libraries, there may be some instances where usage restrictions are placed on the materials.  Textbooks and books requiring special care, for example, may be designated as "in-library use" only and may not be able to be renewed after the initial loan period.  Interlibrary Loan service is available to currently enrolled students, faculty, and staff of St. Ambrose University.
